Attribute: AGI or FIT
Prerequisite: Range Extension, Combo Effect Ability + Combo Target Ability
Description: the Actor has the ability to cause an Effect on a Target from a distance.
Game Mechanic: The Range Ability has a Band Property in addition to a Method tag, that is written in the Abilities section of an Actor's Stat Block like Range (Melee, Personal)-2. The number following the dash indicates the Effective Range Band of the weapon, as well as how many Build Points were spent on this Ability. Each purchase of Range costs 1 BP and raises the weapon's effective range ceiling by one Band on the Range Conflicts Extension Scale. The weapon Actor's AGI Attribute determines effective range within the purchased Band — AGI 1–3 reaches the lower third, 4–6 the middle third, 7–9 the upper third, and 10 the ceiling. Weapons suffer a -1 Bid penalty per Band below or above their optimum Band. Bands above Personal-4 require an appropriate Method tag prerequisite.
Range Methods:
Methods define how the weapon achieves range and sets what Attribute must be bid by the Actor using it.
