Hit Locations

Hit Locations extend Damage from the Core Rules to require that when damage is dealt to an Actor, a specific body location is damaged. This extension adds Location Cards and Hit Location Points to the game.

Extension Summary:

Location Points

Location Points are the amount of Damage a specific Hit Location can sustain before becoming unusable. Damage still calculated normally, as in Conflicts (Step 5), but after damage has been allocated to Attributes, Body Damage (only), is also allocated to a Hit Location.

Each Hit Location has Location Points = Body Trine Score. The Trine Score for Body is calculated by dividing the total of all Body Attributes by 3.

Note: some Body damage, like that from poison or electrocution may still only do general Body Damage without necessarily applying damage to a specific Body Location.

0 Location Points

If any Body Location is reduced to 0 Location Points, the Actor may not use that part of their body. If they are standing, they fall and may later try and kneel or crawl, but they cannot stand. If it is their arm, it becomes unusable, either because the pain is too great to exert any force with it, or because it has suffered so much trauma that the muscles don't function properly anymore. Actors in this condition drop any items carried in that hand. When the chest, abdomen, or groin is reduced to zero, the Actor falls down and may not get up or move. When their head is reduced to zero, they are Incapacitated.

Location Cards

When an Actor scores Body damage against another Actor, they draw a Hit Location Card at random. If the Aiming Extension is used, Actors may also bid to choose a Hit Location, rather than drawing a card at random. Choose the Location Cards deck corresponding to the type of Actor that was damaged.
