Sir Avinor is a high elven knight of Thelenon, K’el of the Lejentia, lord of the White Council for time immemorial. It is said that he fought with Myrlani at the Battle of Tosari Plain where she fell more than five hundred ago. He was already old then, but since he will not speak of his life before the second age had come to Tokal, no one knows how old. He now accepts neither rank nor title and has resigned his post in Skatim to take up residence in Skully’s Harbor, where the Bridge of Tears from Chaos Valley enters Thelenon. He resigned shortly after the Bridge of Tears appeared and the Tarin Tor, lead by Siet Nigira, attacked from Fort Bevits across the bridge. His reasons are known only to members of the White Council, though it is rumored that he refuted the direction taken by the council. They, however, have chosen to view his departure as a leave of absence.He lives now at the Golden Griffin Casino in Skully’s harbor, with his ancient friend, Vincent F’riks, a mysterious Drow elf of the first age and proprietor of the Golden Griffin. Avinor’s enigmatic friendship with F’riks is said to have prevented F’riks banishment by the council on more than one occasion. Clearly, Avinor will take great risks to get what he wants. And there are those who say that what he wants is death.
