-Beldar was the town drunk of [[campaign:places:al-qadim:mitras-fist|Mitra’s Fist]] when first encountered by the Conqueror’s Brigade. In time they learned that he was once a portal lord, apprentice of one of the great portal master followers of [[campaign:people:npc:lum|Lum]], and mighty mage in his own right. He had come to the region through a portal from the [[campaign:places:dead-lands|Dead Lands]] long ago and was the craftsman of the misty portals that litter the Dark Tower dungeon. When the great cataclysm struck Redmoon Pass and the [[campaign:places:al-qadim:dark-tower|Dark Tower]] rose, he was one of those souls cursed to live for eternity in Mitra’s Curse but never leave. The monotony of this curse broke his mind and over time he parlayed his spell book and what magic was in his health for drink.\\
-
-In Dur-Adn, Beldar saw the spark of genius he remembered of the portal lords of yore and endeavored to spend his last days passing on his lost lore of portal magic, becoming Dur-Adn’s apprentice.\\
-
-At the conclusion of Dark Tower he was pulled into the Tower of Ulission and the Dead Lands along with Dur-Adn, and once beyond Mitra’s Fist subject to the ancient curse, immediately crumbling to dust. However, in the dead lands his ghost lived on and serves Dur-Adn to this day. Together they traveled back to Dur-Adn’s lair in the Forbidden City where Dur-Adn spent a year learning portal magic from Beldar.
