Fell was the leader of the Green Tree Bandits before Faerin assumed leadership of the gang after demonstrating his superior weapon prowess while challenging Fell to a duel, and with the support of the rest of the gang. Fell remains in the bandits as Faerin's second in command as Faerin is often away adventuring in the Lost City of Barakus
