Pnessut is the supreme high priest and earthly emissary of Set on Tokal. For centuries he had been imprisoned in the Dark Tower by Suhail Min Zann and the Lions of Yesterday. Though imprisoned he was able to rule much of Al Qadim through the Earthheart stone that commanded the Dao geniekind. The CB discovered that he had formed dark alliance with Whitefire, the World emperor, through which the Earthheart stone passed into his possession. And by commanding the race of Dao, he also commanded the race of Yak Men who they serve. Through these skin changing agents he was able to usurp command of the Al-Badian sheikhs of Al Qadim’s Haunted Lands and thereby make war upon the city dwelling Al-Hadhar who are ruled by the Grand Caliph. Through this war he sought to force the Grand Caliph to throw his armies into war upon the Dragon Wall where Powatoc’s armies made war upon the northern border of the CSWE. And so it would have been had not Grogan implored the Grand Caliph to allow he and the Conqueror’s Brigade one hundred and one days to defeat Pnessut, which in the end, they did.

At the conclusion of the dark Tower, Pnessut was indeed slain, but the phylactery of the lich not taken or destroyed, and so it tumbled into the Abyss with the Dark Tower to rise again some day…
