The Mask of Davar the Judge

Davar was a qadi, or ‘judge,’ of Mitra’s Fist a century after the war of the towers buried the towers and the former village. In the years after, the Mycretian church built a shrine to Mitra [which stands in the village today] and established a mission again at Mitra’s Fist to keep an eye on fortune hunters who where then digging to find the location of the original village and the vast wealth of religious artifacts rumored to have been buried with it. It took a century for those treasure seekers to find the location of the original village, but they also found a century’s old evil digging up to meet them. Davar was the qadi of Mitra’s Fist at that time who adjudicated the return of religious relics to the church. It is said of him that he dispensed a fire and sword method of justice, often chasing looters into the dungeons himself to confiscate treasures stolen from the buried shrines. He was reputed to have fought like a demon, shrugging of mortal wounds, spreading fear of the masked judge far and wide among treasure seekers along Redmoon Pass in those days. His Golden Lion Mask is now worn by Fa-Hed the Pious. See also Mycretia and The Order of the Golden Bones.
