-Powatoc’s ability to maintain a sizeable Spawn occupation force in the Blue Mountains, without a supply line, and in the face of dogged attacks by all the clans of dwarves that still rule the mountains, could only be achieved by his use of the Spindle’s time strands, according to Meyek.

-‘The Portals of Torsh’ they are called by some, by others, ‘The Portals of Irontooth.’ Though the significance of either name, the Mage does not mention. Though he but speculates on their similarity to the Bridge of Tears, he is adamant that all threads of Iscus terminate in the Dead Lands, and he is quick to point out who is the master of those lands.

-Meyek’s account becomes more obscure from this point, centering upon lore known, or guessed at, only by the very wise and learned:

-Beginning his third and final incarnation, Powatoc has again tried to bend his blood brother, Leuk-O’s, knowledge of lost magic to the task of uncovering the secrets of Iscus’ Spindle, The Tower of Ullision, spine of the world of Tokal. Those secrets drove his brother Leuk-O mad in the years of Powatoc’s Kas incarnation, when he forced Leuk-O to bend the power of Ullission to create a doomsday weapon, hence known as the Mighty Servant of Leuk-O.

-Powatoc again prods the shattered mind of his brother, insists Meyek, this time to manipulate the strands of time and harness them for mass troop movement

-“The success of this ill-conceived plot,” said Meyek to Soris upon a time, “we the good people of Tokal are yet to see. Should those I have sent after The Sword of Hope follow my direction, and in time grant me entrance unto the tower, mark my words, I would work such magic as to offset all wrongs that hateful child Powatoc has wrought in three incarnations spanning a millennia.”
