-====== Abort Action ======

-__**Description:**__ an Abort Action can be taken to remove a declared action from the Combat Action Sequence Timeline when, due to changes in the circumstance due to the actions of others, a previously declared action no longer makes sense, or the Actor who declared it simply wishes to change their action and declare a new action.
-__**Prerequisite:**__ must have an upcoming declared action on the [[rules:core:action-system:sequence|Action Sequence Timeline]].
-__**Game Mechanic:**__ aborting a declared action may never interrupt action(s) taking place in the current Phase on the Timeline. After all actions on the current Phase have been resolved, but before the GM has begun to adjudicate actions in the next Phase, any player may choose to Abort an action that was previously declared and has a token placed on the Timeline in an upcoming Phase. Unlike most other actions, the Abort Action takes place immediately when declared. The player making the declaration simply declares this action and picks up one or more Action Stacks, returning their invested Stat Points to their Actor Hand, thereby enabling them to bid those Stat Points on new actions.  Note that any time that has elapsed since they declared those actions has been wasted, and new declared actions begin starting on the Phase when the Abort Action was taken.
