-  - __**Description:**__ This is the act of swinging a bodily appendage at an opponent with the aim of harming them.  
-  -  __**Game Mechanic:**__ To perform this offensive action, put the Punch card face down in your Phase Allocation Pile, along with zero or more AGI point cards or tokens. If the opponent defends that phase, compare the AGI points committed to this attack to the AGI points of the defender.  If the attacker's AGI points beat the defender, he/she was not alert enough to dodge the attack and the attacker does damage.  If not, the attacker was too slow and was dodged. The basic damage of a punch attack is equal to the number of STR points the Actor [[rules:core:actors:stats|STR stat]] allocates to the attack, minus the defender's armor or other defensive scores.
