Disadvantages
Disadvantages are like Abilities, but instead of representing some skill or power an Actor has, they represent traits that work against the Actor during the course of play. Physical and mental disabilities are an example type of Disadvantage, as are things like and Enemy in the campaign world, or a secret identity that must be maintained.
Disadvantages may be taken at the time of character creation to provide additional Build Points toward purchasing Stats or Abilities, or they may be assigned to a PC Actor during the course of gameplay through events that happen in the game.
Properties of Disadvantages
Each Disadvantage listed below is defined by these characteristics:
- Title: the name of the Disadvantage
- Description: a brief description of what the disability is or how it manifests in the game.
- Game Mechanic: how the Disadvantage should be specifically manifested in rules during gameplay.
- Build Points: how many Build Points should be awarded to the Actor when they acquire the Disadvantage.
