Disabilities

As a result of combat or other trauma, such as falling off a cliff, Actors may receive Disabilities. A disability is a permanent negative one Outcome modifier to particular type of Action, depending on the nature of a particular disability as detailed in their individual descriptions below.

Physical Disabilities are specific to each Body Location and are grouped that way below. Mental Disabilities may be specific to a Body Location, like Facial Twitches and Stuttering, but also contain a general grouping that are not specific to a specific body location or that effect all body locations.

Unless healed through magic, surgery or some other fantastic means, Disabilities are permanent.

In some cases as noted in the Disability descriptions below, and Actor may have multiple instances of the same Disability such as Missing Fingers. Each additional instance of the injury adds one negative Outcome to the same action that the Disability applies to. Generally an Actor may have a maximum number of the same disability before the effected body part is rendered useless. For example, an Actor with five instances of Missing Fingers has lost his hand.

Whenever an Actor receives a Disability, they may opt to suffer a Permanent Injury instead.

See the Disadvantages article for more information about Physical and Mental Disabilities.
